Training & Workforce Development
One of the goals of the Louisiana Center for Health Innovation is to enhance strategic workforce development and train students and healthcare professionals in topics related to health informatics. While LCHI does not directly offer academic programs, we play a critical role in supporting the development of a skilled healthcare workforce by fostering collaborations and research that inform educational practices.
For example, our summer research training program, TExBioMed (Training and Experiential Learning in Biomedical Informatics) is strategically designed to meet the future needs of the informatics workforce and ultimately expand the talent pool. By participating in this program, students will be connected to this prestigious network, opening doors to a wealth of opportunities.
