Healthcare Employment Advancement in Louisiana (HEAL)

The Healthcare Employment Advancement in Louisiana (HEAL) initiative is a statewide effort aimed at strengthening Louisiana’s healthcare workforce. HEAL connects individuals with education, training, and career advancement opportunities to help meet the state’s growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals. HEAL uses a data-informed approach to identify workforce gaps, expand access to healthcare career pathways, and align training with employer needs. Through collaborative partnerships, HEAL helps individuals prepare for high-demand healthcare roles while supporting the state’s long-term workforce sustainability.

Partnerships

HEAL is a collaborative initiative led by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, the College of Nursing & Health Sciences, and the Informatics Research Institute. The program also partners with state agencies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to expand opportunities and build a resilient healthcare workforce across Louisiana.
