Eligibility & Application

TExBioMed is designed to attract students from inadequately represented groups and programs with limited research in biomedical informatics/data science.

Undergraduates should: 

• Have completed at least one year toward their academic degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
• Have demonstrated a satisfactory academic performance (GPA >= 3.0)
• Have completed at least three basic life sciences and physical sciences courses and two in mathematics, computer science, and/or engineering
• Submit a personal essay describing your interest in completing their degree in Data Science, Biomedical Informatics-related disciplines
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
