Dr. Raju Gottumukkala

Raju Gottumukkala is the Director of Research at the Informatics Research Institute and an AAMA/LEQSF Regents Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He founded the Cyber-Physical-Human-Systems (CyPHUS) lab. His research expertise lies in human-centric intelligent systems, encompassing areas such as machine learning, multi-modal sensing and learning, privacy-aware methods for human behavior sensing, cyber-physical system security, and the development of human-centric decision support tools.

His work is funded by various sources, including the NSF, the Louisiana Board of Regents, and industry contracts. Dr. Gottumukkala has mentored over 25 graduate and 18 undergraduate students and published over 50 peer-reviewed publications. He is also the recipient of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award in 2017.
