Dr. Scott Sittig
Dr. Scott Sittig is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He earned a PhD in Biomedical Informatics in 2017 from the University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Biomedical Informatics in Houston. In addition, he earned a master’s degree in health informatics from Louisiana Tech University and Bachelor of Science degree in health information management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
His research focus areas are in developing and implementing applied health informatics methods/tools through persuasive technology to advance consumer health informatics/patient engagement and in developing artificial intelligence solutions to create personalized health models (emphasis in aging and chronic disease). In Dr. Sittig has numerous publications in the areas of consumer informatics and data science. In addition, he has been PI, Co-PI or co-investigator in over 3 million dollars of grant funding.
