New Louisiana initiative aims to boost maternal vaccination through community-led education

The Louisiana Center for Health Innovation (LCHI), in partnership with SWLAHEC, has launched the ECHO Louisiana Community Coalition, a community-driven effort to improve maternal vaccination rates in Region 5. Supported by a Pfizer Global Medical Grant, the initiative will engage mothers, doulas, midwives, and health professionals to co-develop culturally relevant education and outreach materials that build trust, reduce hesitancy, and strengthen patient–provider relationships.
